The Fontys Mechatronics and Robotics Lab is part of the Fontys Engineering Department of the Fontys University of Applied Sciences. The research focus of the lab is to make robotics accessible for SME companies in the context of flexible manufacturing en Industry 4.0. WIthin this context the Fontys Mechatronics and Robotics lab executes research projects together with other universities, (SME) companies, and of course students. The research of the lab focusses on flexibile manufacturing, cobots, AGV logistics, perception, human robot interaction, and safety. Besides our main domain of research we also perform research in agriculture and health care (specifically the aging society). Fontys is a member of the ISO groups on safety and modularity and student teams participate in the First Robotics League and Robocup at work.
