KONIKER S.Coop. is a non-profit R&D business unit of FAGOR ARRASATE and MONDRAGON ASSEMBLY, was created in June 2002 by the companies belonging to the Mondragon Group Metal Deformation Cluster. KONIKER is specialized in forming, automation for assembly and photovoltaics technologies. It was created with the aim of providing a coordinated response to the partner cooperatives’ R&D projects, and to take advantage of the synergies existing in its metal forming and processing, machinery and tools area. It basically carries out its activity in the fields of strategic, applied and pre-competitive research. KONIKER works closely with leading companies and institutions related to automotive, steel, appliances, and energy and health sectors. It is a member of the Basque Science, Technology and Innovation Network and its facilities are located in Mondragon (Gipuzkoa, Spain).
