qbrobotics s.r.l. is an Italian SME founded on July 29th, 2011 based in Navacchio – Cascina (Pisa) in the Technological Cluster Complex of Pisa (Polo Tecnologico di Navacchio). qbrobotics was founded by seven equal business partners as a research and development company active in the robotics field, and producers of soft-robotics devices. The company mission is to develop the research in the soft-robotics field and translate it into marketable devices for research, industry and consumers. The existing devices are driven by the soft-robotics technology, a sub-field of robotics that allows the products to interact with humans without creating dangers and without the risk of damaging the human operator or the product handled. The aim is to replicate the way animal muscles are moving and to build devices able to adapt the grasp to the object they are interacting with.
