29 September 2015, Hamburg, Germany – euRobotics AISBL is participating in the 2015 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2015) with an exhibition booth. The theme of IROS 2015 is "Gateway to the Era of Robots", as the city of Hamburg is also known as Germany's "Gateway to the World".
The euRobotics exhibition at IROS2015 will introduce the European Robotics Forum 2016 (ERF2016) to take place on 21-23 March 2016, in Ljubljana, Slovenia (www.erf2016.eu). Michael Strohmayr, winner of the euRobotics Entrepreneurship Award 2015, will showcase his award winning project of the Entrepreneurship Workshop during ERF2015.
Background information
About ERF 2016
After its start in San Sebastian in 2010, this annual event has quickly become the most influential meeting of the European robotics scene. With ERF2016, this prestigious event is for the first time in Slovenia.
It will take place between on 21-23 March 2016, at the “Cankarjev Dom” and more than 600 participants, including industrialists, researchers, investors, elected officials and media, are expected to attend the over 40 workshops with topics covering the newest developments and trends within robotics. ERF2016 is organised by euRobotics with local support from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Jožef Stefan Institute and the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

euRobotics AISBL (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif) is a Brussels-based international non-profit association for all stakeholders in European robotics. More than 250 member organisations from European industry and research are members of euRobotics.
The European Commission engaged into a Public-Private partnership with the European robotics community, represented by euRobotics. This partnership was branded SPARC and inaugurated in June 2014.
The main mission is SPARC is to develop and implement a strategy and a roadmap for research, technological development and innovation in robotics, in view of the launch of the next framework program Horizon 2020.
