euRobotics, Big Data Value Association (BDVA), CLAIRE, ELLIS and EurAI have set up a joint website that contains the latest AI, Data and Robotics Partnership documents. Any organisation in Europe can engage in the Partnership Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIDA) update process through any of the 5 involved communities (BDVA, EurAI, CLAIRE and ELLIS and euRobotics) or/and through the activities promoted on ai-data-robotics-partnership.eu.
The next activities are online information sessions on 16 and 29 July.
Background
The AI, Data and Robotics Partnership is one of the candidates for European Partnerships in digital, industry and space in Horizon Europe. To deliver the greatest benefit to Europe from AI, Data and Robotics, this Partnership will drive innovation, acceptance and uptake of these technologies. The Partnership will boost new markets, applications and attract investment, to create technical, economic and societal value for business, citizens and the environment. By 2030, European sovereignty is expected in the development and deployment of trustworthy, safe and robust AI, Data and Robotics, compatible with EU values and regulations.
This new Partnership, as described in its proposal application, builds on the work of BDVA and euRobotics cPPPs (Big Data Value PPP and SPARC PPP) and on the investment in the broader European AI community crystallised in the formation and existence of EurAI, CLAIRE and ELLIS. BDVA, CLAIRE, ELLIS, EurAI and euRobotics are joining forces integrating a wide range of stakeholders into the activities of the Partnership so the raised ambition can be realised.
The Strategic Research, Innovation and Deployment Agenda (SRIDA) defines the vision, overall goals, main technical and non-technical priorities, investment areas and a research, innovation and deployment roadmap for the European Public Private Partnership. The second consultation release of the SRIDA will be the basis to produce the first official version of the Partnership SRIDA via a third consultation cycle that will take place in between June and September 2020.
During the month of July (on the 16th and the 29th) two separate information sessions will be organised to inform and engage a wide community on the SRIDA update in the context of this partnership. These sessions aim at explaining the process for the update of the SRIDA in order to give the possibility to any interested stakeholder or community to also join this discussion and provide feedback for the release of a third version of the document after summer. The event is open to any organisation, at the national or European level, which has an interest in research and innovation activities linked to Data, AI and Robotics and has experience and input to share in this domain, whether on horizontal technologies or specific sectors.
Our main target audience for these sessions are i) user industries and stakeholders (targeting those representing industrial AI) in many different sectors; ii) other partnerships and strategic European initiatives (both technology oriented and verticals); iii) Member States; and iv) other relevant stakeholders such as start-ups, national and regional initiatives, trade associations, investors, etc. The sessions are open to everyone and are free.
The SRIDA is a key document for the launch of the Data, AI and Robotics PPP in early 2021. Carrying out a wide and open stakeholder consultation is pivotal for the document to reflect the most important research and innovation priorities in Europe both from a horizontal and sectorial perspective.
