The ERL is composed of multiple "Local Tournaments" held in different research labs across Europe with certified test beds, and a few competitions as part of "Major Tournaments" such as, for example, RoboCup. Teams participate in a minimum of two tournaments (Local and/or Major) per year and get scores based on their performances. Scores of the best two participations in tournaments for each team are added and teams are ranked based on their cumulative score. Prizes for the top teams will be awarded during the next year’s European Robotics Forum (ERF).
International teams from research and industry that want to participate in the tournaments can find detailed information on the application process, travel grants and rulebooks on the ERL Service and ERL Industrial website.
The ERL local tournaments are open to the public and anyone interested can attend as spectator. Spectators need to register and the entrance is free. The venues have a small capacity, so the number of places available is limited. Please contact the local organisers to book your place.
