The robotic team "Kouretes" of the Technical University of Crete (TUC) in collaboration with Dwengo and Makerlab organize an art robot workshop for elementary schools in Chania. We will help about 200 primary school children to build their own drawing robot. We invite schools covering the entire prefecture of Chania, making WeGoSTEM Greece an opportunity for children from both urban and rural areas.

the uptake of robotics in education: the INBOTS curricula

Teachers are invited to participate in a workshop/discussion on “the uptake of robotics in education: the INBOTS curricula” . During this workshop, EDUMOTIVA team will present their work in the frame of the INBOTS project for the development of Robotics curricula in school educatio from primary to high secondary school. Discussion will follow with teachers on the curricula and on the uptake of robotics in education.

Target audience
teachers experienced in educational robotics or interested in introducing robotics in their curriculum or non-formal training activties.

1) The students of the robotics classes will present their creations, demonstrate the way their robots function and answer other students' questions. A small competition will be held among the students.
2) Introductory labs will be offered to students with no previous experience on robotics. The lego education set WeDo will be used for ages 7-10 and the lego education Mindstorm EV3 set will be used for ages 10-12.
The use of the programmable floor robot bee-bot and the Code&Go Robot Mouse as a tool to enhance learning will be demonstrated through a multitude of kindergarten activities.
