Στο πλαίσιο της βδομάδας ρομποτικής η Ακαδημία Ρομποτικής και το Εργαστήριο Ρομποτικής και Αυτόματων Συστημάτων (ΡΑΣ) του Πανεπιστημίου Frederick, διοργανώνουν το «Open Robotics Day: Let’s Make Robots!» στις 26 Νοεμβρίου. Από τις 10 το πρωί, μέχρι τη 1 το μεσημέρι, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick Λεμεσού! Μια μέρα αφιερωμένη στα ρομπότ για άτομα κάθε ηλικίας. Ελάτε να περιηγηθείτε στο μαγικό και πολλά υποσχόμενο κόσμο της ρομποτικής και το πιο συναρπαστικό…ελάτε να μάθετε πως μπορείτε να κατασκευάσετε ρομπότ! Η Ακαδημία Ρομποτικής και το Εργαστήριο Ρομποτικής και Αυτομάτων συστημάτων, θα είναι ανοιχτά σε όλους, όλων των ηλικιών, από μικρά παιδιά με τους συνοδούς τους αλλά, και μεγαλύτερους που θα θελήσουν να κατανοήσουν καλύτερα αυτή την πλευρά της σύγχρονης τεχνολογίας η οποία βρίσκει εφαρμογές στην καθημερινότητά μας. Θα γίνουν εργαστήρια, επιδείξεις, εκπαιδευτικά παιχνίδια ρομποτικής ενώ θα λειτουργούν και διαδραστικές εκθέσεις. Ανάμεσα σε άλλα γίνει παρουσίαση του Αυτόνομου Θαλάσσιου Οχήματος «ΗΡΩΝ», του ρομπότ εδάφους «ΘΗΣΕΑΣ», του ρομπότ «ΑΡΓΟΣ», και του ρομπότ αναγνώρισης εδάφους. Παιδιά και μεγάλοι, θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν τα ρομπότ από ανακυκλώσιμα υλικά (ΤΙΤΑΝΑΣ, ReCaBot, ΓΕΡΑΝΟΣ, Race Car) και να τα προγραμματίσουν όπως επίσης και να προγραμματίσουν έτοιμα ρομπότ Arduino. Επίσης, μια μεγάλη ποικιλία από εκπαιδευτικά πακέτα ρομποτικής θα είναι διαθέσιμα σε μικρούς και μεγάλους για κατασκευή και προγραμματισμό (Bee-Bots, Blue Bots, Robo-Mouse, Lego WeDo I, Lego WeDo II, Lego Mindstorms NXT, Lego Mindstorms Ev3, mBots, VEX).
